United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black

Just got my renewal from Admiral yesterday, £550 fully comp, business use and protected no claims. So I thought I would try Land Rover Insurance, after speaking with the nice lady on the end of the phone today £360 all in. Plus Insurance cover for off road as well, bye bye Admiral nearly £200 saved and in my pocket.

2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Lago Grey

Just got a massive renewal quote from the PRU, over £600. Got it down by £220 for same cover with Zurich so delighted. Tried Landrover but would not insure due to the other half havibg being caught nattering on the phone and a CU80 conviction.

Phoned up First Direct to change from my Kuga to my new FL2 LE. The FL2 added £60 to my policy which now makes it £350 a year.

Well pleased with that for the price of the car. Mr. Green MY11 Freelander 2 Sport LE Fuji White

Zurich - 185.12, 12 months comprehensive

150 excess, Protected NCD, Legal, C/Car, Breakdown, Enhanced personel injury cover.

And that was the renewal premium for the Disco this week!

Tried to get more discount phoning them up, but they were not on for it. They did apologise for the premium going up 40%.

Low premiums are not cheap if when you make a claim the claim handling is hard work and they try to wriggle out of meeting the claim. Has anyone had any experience of Land Rover Insurance in dealing with a claim as I minded to switch to them from NFU as the premium is about 50% what they have quoted me for my new FL2. For information, LRI quoted the lowest premium of LV, Admiral (multi car policy) and NFU. Thanks.

What are you paying?

I'm in the process of renewing my insurance. This will be the first full year that I've had my FL2.

35 years old, never had an accident/conviction/points. The car is a 2011 SD4 XS.

Best quote I've had so far is a touch under £450.

I've tried all the "usual suspects" who wanted crazy money, and I'm at the point where I don't think any amount of ringing around or getting online quotes is going to beat that figure.

Just wanted a sanity check and that nobody is going to come along saying they're similar age but paying £250 on a similar value/spec FL2 Smile

Thanks.

Oh of course, but I live in hope there may be some gems of insurers that I've not yet tried.

The usual suspects were way off the mark, NFU wanted over £1200.

£540, fully comp, business use and the worst postcode on the scale.
Fortunately I only pay a fraction as a benefit as the company pays, £100 cheaper than my Merc was though.

Forgot to add, I am Thirty Fourteen years old Laughing
