A perennial favourite this one - I have a spare set of allow rims that were fitted to my S but I now have HST wheels for everyday use. I was thinking i might sport around on the 16 in rims this winter but fit them out with some chunky 50/50s for snow (of course having said that, there will probably be none this time around)

anyone got any recommendations on 4 tyres to fit those wheels - preferably cheaply? from memory the size as was is a 195/75/16 or it might have been 195/65/16.

I fitted These last year and they coped very well with the winter conditions we had "missed the worst of it by 2 weeks". Quieter than the standard Scorpions and have kevlar re-enforced sidewalls and tread.

The size I fitted to the 16" rims was (235-70-16) which is just -4mm smaller Rolling diameter than the standard tyres fitted to HSE rims.

If they're the standard 16'' alloys, then the size is 215/75/16, and I'm in the same boat, wanting either winter tyres for my spare set, or some AT ones. Any advice would be welcomed. Cheers. FL2 TD4 S Baltic Blue, with twin electrics and towbar, roofrails, luggage cover, spare wheel and mudflaps.
