Run over

My mum was run over today Sad

The car was her own and in a panic she realised it was going off forward, dived in and struggled, but managed to get the car out of gear, but it then went in reverse (it's an auto) in a panic she tried to prevent it going further and was knock over, falling and been run over and the open door passing just over her body Shocked

Luckily it only passed Over her foot and she managed to prevent a getaway and phone me and my dad

She was really shook up and in pain due to the foot been one that requires operating on due to arthritis at the end of the month, but nothing broken and it's badly bruised. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

cheers Thumbs Up

however, she goes in the ranks of brian harvey of East 17 Fame though

as she was moving her car back and put it in drive instead of park, which then started rolling forward as she was getting out, panic and somehow put in to reverse, and was getting out again when she took her foot off the break, this is when she was more out than in and tried to stop the car reversing with strength and was knocked down and run over herself

she was very shook up, worried the op wouldn't go ahead and annoyed at me and my dad check to see if the car was ok and smirking Smile

though she was lucky, it could have been worse but it will be the talk of the dinner table for some time Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Shocked Easily done, but I hope all is well and wish her well,

I know you mentioned been the talk of the dinner table for some while and in time she might even have a chuckle about it , as dose my wife. Because I ran over her Embarassed , well her foot, She was getting out of our old XTrail and started screaming Big Cry , I thought she had been knocked over because I couldn’t see her in the mirror, She had decided to get something out of the backseat just as I started to roll back to square my parking up. Wheel over foot she tried to pull it out then collapsed to the floor. She screamed the street down for what seemed ages, but was probably only a couple of seconds before I realised, didn’t help the situation when I thought to move forward and ran over it again Whistle .
Not in the good books for a day or two, but no damage, she now refers to it as her Domestic Abuse, as all the curtains were twitching Shocked

Get well soon Mrs Pinks - your son needs you - by all accounts he's hopeless at making a consoling cup of tea. Best wishes for your op.

npinks, My best wishes to her for a speedy recovery Thumbs Up

Tell her over the dinner table that a healthy human can produce about 1.2 hp briefly and sustain about 0.1 hp indefinitely. She was not a match against the average cars 80hp so it pays to let it go, although we would all do the same.

toeknee, you are a very lucky man to have survived without injury, I laughed as well. Laughing

EY, Toeknee may have escaped the wrath of Mrs T at the moment but he's got it coming, very soon, all I can say is don't expect cake at Halewood and have ever seen what damage to the human skull a possessed cake maker can do with a rolling pin Whistle
