Is that because of the type of tyres? |

check the 'B' post, drivers side just under the door lock. There should be a foil sticker with tyre pressures for different sizes and loads. |

The tyres need no adjustment, same pressure for normal running or fully loaded |

As everyone else says, if you have the standard tyres then go by the plate for pressure which is the same unloaded or loaded. If you have different tyres with a different load index letter then ignore the plate and talk to the tyre manufacturer. |

You are right in what you say, my previous car use to wear on both outer and inner edges so I increased the pressure by a few psi to compensate. That was an Xtrail so until I see some wear on this one I'll keep an open mind on that. |

My wife tows the caravan with her Zafira. This has pressures of 35lbs front and 33lbs rear, for normal driving. If she is going to tow the van, these have to go up to 38lbs front and a whopping 45lbs rear. If the Freelander is towing, it just stays the same. I know it's a completely different type of vehicle, but I am surprised that the rear tyres at least don't need a bit more air. |

Be a bit careful about running with higher tyre pressures as suggested above. On the FL1 this caused excessive rear tyre wear even with a 2psi difference. The original recommendation was wrong and had to be corrected by LR. However I agree that on most tyres a small amount extra should make no difference. |
