2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
Black side vets

Saw some black side vent on fleabay, item eBay Item No. 170679939972. Are these genuine LR black coloured or genuine LR silver but resprayed black? Anyone tried them?

They did black for the white D4 landmark edition, but I haven't heard of any OEM FL2 ones

I suspect sprayed and decided they didn't want to fit, so Its a question of quality of bodyshop finish Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks for that. Was theblack for the landmark edition matt black or gloss/metallic?

Gloss black I believe

Not sure if they would look right on any other colour but White though

Gryff on here with a silver GS has black vents, they look ace. He has a TD4 with dark front grill and they go well together.

Landrover did them for the Sport LE models...............of Freelander. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

I bought a pair of these off Fleabay for my 2011 Santorini Black FL2. Don't know if they were sprayed but finish is very good quality and they massively improve the looks of the car.

Only snag was fitting them. I just couldn't get the old ones off without using sufficient force to risk damaging the wings (even after reading lots of helpful advice on this forum) so I blackmailed my dealer to do it for nothing when I had the car back for the third time to fix the same minor warranty problem. It took them five minutes ...... Rolling Eyes The map is not the territory

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue

I bought a pair of black vents from eBay last year to go on my Baltic Blue GS along with some smoked side indicators. The vents have a slight metallic finish and I think they look great, and don't stand out like a sore thumb like the silver vents do. Looking around for a black grill but I don't want a HS grill, I prefer a standard grill, just in black!

I got a set, took 5 minutes to do myself. Genuine LR part. looks good against the black bodywork too. Now to get colour coded door handles......
