England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Narvik Black
Body styling

Freelander 1 in for repair see the post, garage have a Black 2.2Td4 SE with body styling pack and 19" wheels. Wife saw it before me and said it looked like a baby RR Sport, I laughed , you know what they are like......anyway it does!! totally different to the standard, bumpers are squared off, different side skirts like RR sport and a rear spoiler again like the RR sport.

Anyone any pictures of the car with body styling (£1333 option and wheels are £550 each...)

Also has anyone drove one yet.

I have, i have tried uploading to the site but they are not working. Will try again. I have also driven it and it is a fab car! Drives really well. And looks awsome with the kit and wheels..... to the point that i dont think i would be getting one if they did not do it!

Will try with the pics again........

... luckily scottie whoever put the one on that i saw did well, or being in black it dint show so much!

I'm still struggling with uploading photos (even with your pm advice Martin, thanks) but you can find the images i took here;

http://www.flickr.com/photos/92901384@N00/318984151/

I'm still really liking the new look and am a defo fan but ONLY with the kit and the wheels! They seemed to have launched the kit without the wheels at first and when we sat in the garage to order i said i was not sure because the wheels just were not right. The day after they called to say to their suprise too, the new wheels have arrived!

I rushed down there and it really transformed the car.... in my opinion.

Here is another shot with and without the kit,

And another of the front but with the standard wheels,

Good to hear your comments..... (not on the pictures, they were taken on my phone so not gr8! Wink )

Jury still out for me on the body kit. Saw the wheels IMO they will only look good on my colour car ( the Tambora) or the Stornoway Grey.

Saw the wheels on the silver and the black it they didn't suit the colour.

best price so far I have for them is £1700.00.

On posting pictures. The best easy advice I can give you is

click reply to this message with a quote and you will see what I put in for the picture to appear.

Ooops sorry, meant £650 a month.

Paid £16K brand new which was a great deal for a 06 5dr Adventurer in met black with 17" wheels, put original side steps on and rails and have only been offered £12.5K!!!

I will wait, surely the TD4 can't lose as big a chunk in the following 12 months? It would mean it would be only worth £5.5K at 18month old with 15K on the clock.

Dick Turpin springs to mind.

Well, now we have had the car since mar '07. Firstly it arrived without the kit......

Then we got it fitted and i have to say, it is not good. Looks great but start to drive the car (not offroad) and things fly off!!!! Girlfriend drove down the M6 and had part of the front spoiler fly off..... luckily no-one behind! Every morning i used to go out and clip it back on but this drive was a little longer than normal.

The grill is only held on with sticky tape and is loose one side, the back valance is held on with the same double sided sticky tape and a few bolts and i reckon with 6months of washing/wet weather would come off.....

Has anyone else experienced problems or just me? Landrover Freelander 2.2 HSE with bodykit and wheels upgrade on order......... Smile

Donesn't sound good.

I ended up trading in on a 56reg 2.2TD4 GS ex demo, got a better cost to change, I never went for the body kit but did as people said and looked more closely. On inspection the fit and finish is not very good, as such I can understand why you are have problems.
