surley with modern technology some officers could of carried a powerful water gun with smart water that can ID them later

True, but the looting and violence on innocent people was hardly a defence for the shooting. It was mindless violence by blacks out to nick what they could amid the mayhem.

No problem, but with political correctness gone OTT, how can it be discussed when the news footage show the persons responsible for the looting, not even bothering to cover their faces, but we cannot describe them.

I'll finish on this.

I find it incredible that it is (I beleive) illegal to use water cannons in this country. But what a deterrent it has proven to be in other Western countries. I would've thought any legal recourse by mindless hoodlums and theives was forfeited by their very own actions.
