Tracking

Just had my cars tracking checked, used the most space aged tracking machine i have seen, something called a prisim 550 or something

Found I needed a few wheels slightly adjusting, but wasn't too much out, 4 wheel alignment at a cost of £48

Mr Pinks - just tried that search for postal codes Derbyshire and then UK - Google report no records. I am probably the world's worst web search geek so please can you help as I'd like to have her Ladyship's tracking verified when we visit Blighty in October. Bow down

In the past I have used ETS, Farndon Rd, Newark. They have a similar digital 4-wheel alignment system (Hunter Pro Track). Very good prices too - something like £20 per wheel adjusted. My previous Passat was set up by them - fixed the endemic rear tyre wear problem! Have yet to take the Freelander - although I will when I buy my winter wheels! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Thank you Mr Pinks - I've followed through with your links and have identified two locations down in Derby. It does appear however that they will not come close to matching your super deal of GBP48.

All I need to do now is to get some feedback on the "quality" of the workmanship in those two as I have no experience of them:
Chartwell Body Craft on Brunel Way DE24 8HR
Eden Tyres at "The Filling Station" DE21 4AP

Any Freel2 member have experience of these two companies and their wheel alignment skills?

As I said above, ETS (aka Eden Tyres) in Newark sorted me ok. I guess the Derby one will be just as good. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Thanks for that dunkley201 - appreciate the feedback.

However a cautionary note does exist on the "Hunter Kit - Alignmycar" website in that it makes clear that whilst they fully endorse the technology of the Hunter measuring kit each location is an independent business responsible for its own skills and expertise in utilizing that technology. Hence my request to hear from anyone that has used these two specific Derby outlets re wheel alignment.

the chap who did mine, said "there is not a lot of people out there who who the same one as me, as it costs 4 times as much as a standard one, there's even less people out there who know how to use them correctly"

I think ATS have similar setup also Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I had mine done after the clutch was replaced. I know 'in theory' all should be right afterwards, but I know for sure that when you re-fit the front subframe you can quite easily knock out the tracking.

Drives really well now. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
