Door mirrors - auto-dip when reversing

They are supposed to dip when reverse gear selected aren't they? According to the manual each mirror remembers two positions, normal and reverse. Mine stopped doing this very soon after getting the car. Just wondered if I'm missing a trick, or if it's another item for the ever-growing list.

Cheers,
Gareth

I fell for this too

The dipping mirrors are part of the memory seat function on the HSE.

Sorry to say but this can not be activated either on the SE with out memory seats Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Okay, thanks - I wasn't sure if it was the HSE we had on loan or the SE I finally bought that I had seen this in Exclamation (or even one of the myriad courtesy cars we've had since buying it Sad )

Garethh my ole chum the dipping seem a great idea but depending on the speed you do in reverse they either do or dont dip.............which can be a pain in the arse cause sometimes i'm checking the mirror then the next i'm wriggling down in the seat to see wear I'm going cause the bleeding mirror has decided its time to look at the floor, rather than giving me the rear view Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry Technology can sometimes try and be too clever Rolling Eyes
