Passenger window won't close

Okay, a strange one this. Today I opened both front windows to keep cool while parked up. When I tried to close them the drivers side was fine but the passenger side got to the top then opened 3/4 of the way. I tried doing the reset procedure but it still keeps doing it. If I try to open fully it goes down but the glass sticks up about 1cm. The best I can do is not to use one touch opening and to close it bit by bit until it's nearly closed. I assume this is a trip to the dealer. Andyfr

Had a very similar problem, recently, Andy.

There was a tip on here not long ago, similar to the reset procedure, I think it was when the window starts going down press the DOWN button till the window stops/reaches the bottom then hold the UP button until the window gets to the top.

Repeat, three times (open and close the window, fully, three times).

I haven't experienced the problem since...

Steve.

Thanks all for posting this one. My front passenger window had been like this for ages and I had to keep closing it a bit at a time. I was even trying to kid the wife that it would cost £28k to put right so it would be cheaper to buy a new one Laughing But I found this article, did what it said and hey presto its fine now.
