Countryside, don't forget that the HDC limits the speed to 7 Km/h. - not lower. Actually in many situations, especially on bumpy tracks, this speed is far too high for a FL2 with a quite low ground clearance. As it has no low gears, it wasn't possible to limit the maximum speed to 3 Km/h which I believe is the limit for a Rang Rover.

I wouldn't know if HDC works in reverse: I prefer to descent a bit slower than at 7 Km/h (in reverse). |

About GRC (Gradient Releace Control) Holds the brakes for a second or two to allow you to set the revs. Worked when i was on a LRE but seemed to be automatic, TR set to MUD Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Using the LR2 (auto) at the experience last week I agree that the 5mph limit for the HDC can be a bit fast but worked consistantly well on all terrains. I was mainly in Mud/ruts or snow/ice modes though due to the very wet (read fun |

Which that LR engineers can find a way to allow for lower speed than 7. Should'nt that be possible using ABS system even without extended engine brake provided by low gear ? |

Not sure about the TR MUD mode required because it is not mentioned in the LR literature. Will try that setting. |

One thing I noticed is that if you turn HDC on when climbing, the torque is not coming as strongly as with no HDC when pressing the gas pedal thus making the manoeuver really tricky. This is with a manual TD4. |

Apparently I was a bit confused when I replied upon the GRC. Sorry for the inconvenience (I removed my post)

I prescribe a dark room and 30 minutes rest, if you get up and still feel confused then lay down again ![]() ![]() |
