If you need to know your mileage or trip and don't have your key fob handy to light up the dash, just press the trip reset button and the odometer panel comes up with the numbers.

The company I worked for switched to fuel cards and I kept forgetting to note the mileage before switching off. One time I got to the till before I remembered so I had to go back and check. When I returned to the till I had to apologise for the delay as I had to "wait for the car to boot before I could read the display"
