When I first took an interest in FL2's the facelift had only just happened, so I saw them first side by side without being previously used to either.

With the very greatest of respect to all here, I can't see why the pre-facelift FL2 was originally designed the way it was, unless it was simply to look like a style evolution of the original FL1.

It was designed that way so that they could bring out the facelift fishface and extend FL2's life a bit longer. After all its the same vehicle, but some people just cant wait to part with their cash for the latest thing Rolling Eyes

Having said that, I like the fishlander nose better than the old clump we got on round 1, and the new design does seem to suit better Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

If they designed vehicles to look like the final face lift from the start it would save a lot of mucking about.

And a lot of lost sales for L/R.
Facelifts are all a part of marketing. Some folk are so vain that they have to have the 'latest', the marketing chaps know this and use it to the full.

And it works. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Pegleg, I bought the new freelander because my car was due for renewal. I had originally put a deposit down on an evoque when it was still called an lrx but delivery times didn't work out with my 3 year deal I would still be waiting models are refreshed to keep people interested. The freelander has a long way to go before it gets completely changed 2006 - 2014. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Regardless of views on front end styling, I don't see how there is anything positive to say about the chrome a Censored e. If I had to buy a MY11, I would go to great lengths to modify the boot back to MY10 style. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

As I said, minority, there are quite a few members on here have now replaced the pre MY11 style with the newer style, there are also quite a few that have fitted the Chrome Censored fitted this is not even taking into account the members who have not done either yet but would do if circumstances allowed. When the Chrome Censored was revealed it was hammered on here by a few but things change and only a few on here now actually let it worry them, things change and the more people see it the more tend to not let it bother them, but we are all different gladly, otherwise what a drab life it would be Thumbs Up
