Key Fob not been ejected

This weekend after misplacing my carkeys in a kitchen cupboard (That were I found them this morning)

I have been using the spare key Confused

I am finding that this is not been ejected by the car, and it takes a few presses to get it out.

Has anybody else found this Question

its as if the hole and the everyday key have become used to each other and the newer looking key maybe catching on something Question Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I change between the keyfobs each week to ensure the batteries are topped up - and there are no problems. It sounds like there is a protusion on the sticking keyfob that holds it in the ignition ?

Maybe check that the integrated metal key is properly located inside the keyfob.......

You can also place both keyfobs side by side to see if there is something is sticking out etc of one of them, compared to the other .........

Not as embarassing as calling out LR Assist because you can't get the fob out (again not in park!)

I also swap fobs every week to ensure they both keep working and have had no problem with either fob (as yet!). D3 GS Java Black TDV6 Manual

I use my car very infrequently and make sure I use the keys alternatively.
Both are working fine at the moment.
I wonder if you take the emergency key out of the key fob will it work better.
Short of a visual inspection of the key fob there is not much I can recommend other than to ask your dealer.
Please keep us informed
