I found my side vents are decorative. The air intake is under the left front headlight |

It seems early Diesel models were behind the headlight but was later changed, cannot help with Petrol version, very few were sold here and they ceased production completely a couple of years back for the UK market.

jaxbeach, om my 2009 i6 petrol engine, the air intake is via the vent in the left hand wing (fender?).

According to LR Experience instructor, all intakes are via the side vents. However I suspect he was only talking about current models. Apparently the side vents are much less efficient than front vents (air warmer, dirtier) but much better for wading. |
