aux input

why do landrover put the 3.5mm aux input jack at the back of the ctr console.surly it would be better in the glovebox or on the front of the stereo, bad design i think.also why no electric open/shut rear tailgate would be a good addition.
i'll think of other mods that should be done

very happy to be honest but after living with it for a week small things creep up that dont seem to have been thought out by lr,input jack so the lead is loose and ugly, inside glovebox would be neater,a mod i'm doing at weekend.

How you gonna control your ipod if its in the glove box?

I've found that its just right where it is - all the wires are behind you rather than trailing all over the gear knob , TR controls etc. My only thought would be that the aux jack looks like it hasn't been finished off - a nice cover would be good.

i'm going to fit a small cradle at the side of the stereo, the aux input cable will go into the glovebox with the aux power, looks a profit job rather than cable loose in the cabin, think its my ocd coming out again

You can change the track on the iPhone through the voice recognition too, by holding the green answer button
