HD Camcorders

I am looking to upgrade my old Panasonic Mini-DV camcorder for one of these new full HD models. A few years back I worked in an electrical store and we rated Panasonic as king of the hill above the likes of Sony and I have opted for their products for my LCD and Hi-Fi and HD/DVD recorder etc. (We even have a Panasonic washing machine).

It looks like Panasonic will once again be my go to brand but my question is: Has anyone on here got a HD camcorder of any brand or used one and can give some feedback?

Thanks in advance LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

we bought Sanyo Xacti HD as we were spending a month in the states travelling. We also took 4 x16g mem cards. The quality of the play back I have to say has been very good. It also took exceptional pictures as well. very small and compact. battery lasted ages as well.

I have a panasonic hs-hdc60 ( I think that's the model number ) but it's a great camera good picture and it's got a 120gb hard drive and will take sd cards up to 2TB when they are released.

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Ipanema Sand

I have a Panasonic HDC-SD80.

Thoroughly recommended.

Uses SD cards, a 16Gb card is enough for over an hour at full res. Good battery life. Only -ve's:
- no external mike capability - having said which, the internal one is pretty good
- the recording light is puny and quality goes down markedly (as you might expect) in poor light Brian

MY11 FL2 SD4 GS
Extras to same spec as XS apart from the Satnav, plus Xenons.
Ipenema Sand, Ebony.
