I've had two full sets of Wranglers and never really liked them. Changed them for Hankook Dynapro HP RA23 235/65 R17 H (108), Reinforced, in January and rate them highly. Cost was just shy of £450.

Had no problem with the Wranglers. Changed them at about 30 000. Since I had a new one on spare, I bought another three to match it. My tyre man recommends Kumho and I might have gone for them if I had needed a full set, as they are cheaper. The Wranglers have plenty of grip and were fine in deep snow this winter. New tyre regs may make it illegal to sell some tyre options in the near future.

Good to hear your like the Hankook's Oldie, having a set of the same (but in 235/60/18's) fitted later this week,
good price to - £420 fitted - so will be interesting to see how they rate.
Got Khumo's on 17"'s as a winter AT tyre and can't fault them so hopeing for the same from the Hankook's.

Hi, just about to select a new set of tyres and wondered how the hankook dynapro were shaping up. Look suspiciously like the Michelin 4x4 syncro that I loved on my old freelander.

Mine have been great - no issues at all and they're still looking new.

Thahks Oldie. Also wondered if any more feedback on the michelin latitude cross. Costco do 20% off if buying a set of four.

Hi Biscay

I have full set of Michelin Lattitude Cross on my 2006 FL 1.

I can fully recommend them for all types of use, road work, unmade road and the snow.

Very little wear despite a lot of miles - fitted October 2009.

The only problem is the tyre sizes Michelin supply is limited.

I have Pirelli's on my 2011 FL2. After 6 months use I don't think they will last out, or even if they do, they will be no use for winter roads as the tread depth will be so low.

Never liked Pirelli's but the dealers told me that they were the better option of the tyres that were currenty fitted to new FL2 by LR.

Thanks Mr Wolf. I think i'll go with the Michelins if I can get them for a decent price. Been quoted £518 for 4 from costco.

My experience is similar to yours. The Michelins were still legal when I sold my 2007 FL2 with 37000 miles on the clock. The Pirellis on my 2009 FL2 have less than 3mm of tread left on them at 26000 miles. I like the Pirellis and depending on price, I will probably renew them before 30000.

Well, I've had the Hankook's for over a year now (and about 9000 miles) and they still look like the day I bought them, and that's after 2 Scottish winters ! Never let me down yet.
