Make sure the glue is dry before you put the fob in! |

Thanks for that. You gave me hope. I shall keep using the for to drive the car but not unlock/lock the doors for a few days, with longer trips to make sure it gets enough charge. When you say you had to do this in order to get the for to work constantly, do you mean you had similar problems with the for being able to lock/unlock once and nothing more than that? Thanks again. |

Yes I did the same thing soldered the new battery in - closed the case (but didn't glue at this point) then put in the car dock for a couple of minutes - got out locked but nothing else - I too was disheartened - but a couple of days charging and it was been great since. Just need to work out the best way to keep both charged 2002 Honda VFR800 2002 Toyota Celica 140 Silver (mid life crisis - again!) 2007 FL2 GS Manual Army Reconnaissance Green + freel2.com sticker 2004 Toyota Celica 140 Black - Gone 2000 Toyota Celica 140 Silver - Gone 1998 Toyota Celica ST Pearl Green - Gone 1996 Nissan Primera 1.6 - Gone 1994 Rover Montego 1.6 Auto - Gone |

Both fobs you mean? Do you not alternate? If you are the only driver just change each week. Fortunately my wife and I both drive both cars so all four key fobs get charged. |

I have a bit of red tape round my "spare" key, which reminds me I need to use it occasionally. (Accidental result of having had to tape it shut - previous owner had forced out the emergency key and broken the locking tab. Almost lost the fob part first time I hung it on my belt). Also helps me to find it when I've "put it down somewhere". |

I took a Dremmel and scribed a #1 on one fob, and #2 on the other. Odd number is used for odd months, and even number for even months.

How do you know if it works under 45meters? You can try opening the car and if it's gone by the time you're back it probably worked |

It might be open - but switched off and with steering lock engaged. More likely to have squatters than be gone...... 2002 Honda VFR800 2002 Toyota Celica 140 Silver (mid life crisis - again!) 2007 FL2 GS Manual Army Reconnaissance Green + freel2.com sticker 2004 Toyota Celica 140 Black - Gone 2000 Toyota Celica 140 Silver - Gone 1998 Toyota Celica ST Pearl Green - Gone 1996 Nissan Primera 1.6 - Gone 1994 Rover Montego 1.6 Auto - Gone |

But if you don't surface within 3 minutes from locking it will auto lock again, and you'll never know and if you do surface within 3 minutes you'll most likely suffer from the bends |
