Well it only took the wife 3 months to break the car and get it's first ride on a car transporter.(the 1st transporter that turned up broke down aswell)

Its lost it's get up and go and just splutters along) Confused
We plan to drive from Newcastle to London on Thursday then fly to Mexico for two week .

1st. if it cannot be fixed will the garage let me use the courtesy car to drive to London .?
2nd. Will they let me keep it for two weeks till we get back ?

And how long till I start speeking to the wife again ?

1st: NO
2nd:NO

3rd: Depends on whether you want a quiet holiday and how much revenge she extracts - cos it's your car so it's your fault - logic easy.

Speak to landrover assist, they should pay your travel expenses to and from airport? It maybe a case of 2 x one way rentals via Eurocar rental or whoever they now use?

The rental car has turned up and it's a HSE.

Looking forward to my drive to Gatwick .
Double result as all I need to do is had it back at the airport so I have no parking to pay, plus my car will be safe and sound in Landrovers compound not getting damaged or bumped in a over crowded car park at the airport.

So far the HSE is winning on gadgets but I still like the Look of the useless bodykit on my HST....

And for the record I have 3 Landrovers and all at one point have been on the back of a recovery truck.....still love em Thumbs Up SD4 Sports LE Black ...

I bet the car is fixed by the time you get back, So you won't be able to get a hire car on your return to travel back

I would look at your option before you go, rail, coach or short skirt and extended thumb Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Fuji White

Land Rover Assist-Enterprise rentals.
My new FL SD4 had fuel sensor fault, showed 29 miles left, warning on and tank above 3/4 full.
Called dealer on the bank holiday monday and they advised phoning LR Assist. was offered AA within 1/2 hour or LR within 2 hours as he was 60 miles away. happy to wait.
Technician arrived within 2 hours diagnosed and said car could fail. He arranged hire car to be ready for me at dealers. I explained I was driving to Southampton (460 miles) on the friday and would need mine for thursday night.

1) car not ready in time, NO PROBLEM just keep the Discovery HSE and we will arrange with Southampton rental branch.
2) Disco collected at Southampton hotel and on return 18 days later, quick phone call to confirm when due dack at hotel (10am) was all that was needed for brand new (100 miles on clock) Jaguar XF to be at hotel for return journey.
First class service from start to finish. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

Got back to Gatwick to find another hire car waiting for me. Had a few days in London before taking
The wife to see Take That at wemble,we then drove home as soon as the gig finished.
It took me 4 hours to drive back to Newcastle on empty roads and to be honest it was the best part of the holiday as the car was fun to drive.

Thanks so much to the team at Landrover Newcaslte for a faultless service........

In the end my car had a fuel leak SD4 Sports LE Black ...
