I don't have a Freelander2, Dave, I have a new Range Rover Sport TDv8! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

I'm getting around 38.5 mpg averaged over 4800 miles of 60/40 urban motorway and town driving with my manual TD4 and am pretty pleased with it. D3 GS Java Black TDV6 Manual |

Getting about 36mpg out of Emily after 2500miles. I would have to roll down a mountain to get 38.5. Just get the feeling that she does not do quite as well as Freda my old much missed TD4 3dr but by heck Emily goes like a ferret up a pipe compared to Freda. Last Sunday drove most of the day in the rain, consumption dropped by about 4mpg.

Yeah that may be true... but which vehicle gives the better drive and comfort? Life is not a dress rehearsal! |

oh, without a dought, I have much more power/comfort.....Its A fantastic motor...It would be nice to match the fuel economy of the old one....where has the advantages of the more modern engine?. We could have had the same power/driveability out of the old BMW TD4, had we have pumped more fuel through it..... Just a matter of interest, I reset both the Trip Computer and Trip Recorder whenever I refill. The reason I do this is to ascertain if I am getting an improved average mpg for each refill, rather than an average from when I first collected the car from the dealer. Does anybody else do this ? I do the same and the PC keeps a records of average fuel usage per refill, it is improving every week. I do expect it to level off at about 37/38 mpg. GS TD4 All Black |
