Hi firstly let me say the clutch operation is perfect not slipping by any means however last night when heading home the pedal was very very soft at first say the first inch then I could feel normal pressure, however this morning as I was coming into traffic at the end of the motorway the pedal stuck to the floor I had to catch under it with my toe and full it back up. this happened a few times as I moved through the traffic. Yet once I stopped I pumped it a few times and all seems to be fine. Its just the drive home takes alot more stop start stop start so any advise would be great.

I have just spoken to my local stealer they told me that the slave cylinder in the box leaks after time and that it together with dual mass flywheel will need replacing after only 89,000kms I feel this is a bit rich he offered a discounted price in the region of 1700 to 1800euro how the f k could it cost so much I asked he said the whole sub frame has to out the the box and transfer box before it can be done. seems way to costly does anybody know of a cheaper option????

Hi guys, I've been working on the fl2 since it's launch. I have never seen a clutch issue on these beasts until one month ago when a customer with an '09 plate came in with exactly the same issue as you. Turned out once the box was removed that the clutch slave cylinder had decided it wanted to retire early and had fallen to bits. Managed to get the slave, clutch and flywheel all under warranty. Hope this helps. Rich. they all do that! |
