Headlights adjusted too high?

During daylight it seems that I put a grin on every face I meet in my lovely FR2. However, this changes drastically after nightfall when I seem to blind every car I have in front of me; lots of angry faces turning, dipping their mirrors, flashing their brake lights etc.

I have xenon bi-lamps (or whatever they're called...) which are unadjustable, and I do agree, they seem to be adjusted a bit too high - at least compared to another 4x4 I have (Mitsubishi Pajero/Shogun).

Is this a common experience, and is there anything that can be done?

hi khbauge and welcome
Yes Xenon lights are factory adjusted a bit high. If you think they are too high then you can adjust the beam height from two screws on top of the headlight units. They are dipped in a small hole, but all you need to reach them is a screwdriver. Have the engine running and the car on a level surface when you do that, as FL2 has auto level adjustment sensors. If you think this is too complicated to be done, just take the car to your dealer and he can do it for you. It only takes 5 mins!
Note: When the dealer adjusted my headlights, I had to go there 3-4 times, as they were usually setting them too low. I finally adjusted them myself. I think the beam has to be higher than on halogen headlights, so do take this into account. Whistle It was back in September I think, at the time we had all those forest fires in Greece and many citizents and police patroled around. Everybody was approaching me thinking I was about to start a fire, they couldn't imagine I was only adjusting my headlights around all those dark places near my home. Whistle Cool Rolling with laughter

I seem to upset people with my non Xenon equiped Emily but I suffered the same problem with Freda, it seems to be a problem with the height of the headlights from the floor. I alter the h/light settings using the scroll knob on the right of the switch pack. Headlights down in urban and traffic streams, up on the open roads and stuff the rest, they should be driving a Freelander still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit
