Beautiful morning up here , so was up and out with Sprocket ( our Springer Spaniel) for 6.30am went over to Silton Woods, not that far from Thirsk, Still glorious when we got there around sevenish, by half eight I had, had enough my Bo Censored Censored ks were freezing, you may ask why. Simple answer be prepared just had on some shorts and a tea shirt and the Bloody weather turned freezing Evil or Very Mad just as we got to the half way pointy of our walk and its been like that all day. We weren't to far from the hills/mountains, centre to right of the picture were the 'Cheviots' blotted out by the rain. My wife finished the final leg of the 'Southern Upland Way' from Moffat to Lauder, this one's above St Mary's Loch, a little bit hillier Smile

Emjoyed the Ben a few years back, went over the arete though and certainly much slower.

No, it was the CMD arete, scrambling, you sound more like a true climber, more bottle than me if you are Bow down
I had a lucky escape on sharp edge a few years back, can't go over a ridge now, hanging by your jacket over a few hundred feet drop certainly concentrates the mind.
Stick to flat (ish) stuff these days, although a few more munroes will be done Thumbs Up
