Indeed. I went to watch Derbyshire v Lancashire in the twenty20 match at Derby tonight. Great game in glorious conditions (the match was tied at 190 - unusual to see a tie in twenty20)

The weather does lead to a fair covering of dust on the car though and dead fly guts all over the windscreen cos the warm weather brings out the kamikaze flys in abundance Laughing

Friday 17:43hrs here and it is a summer monsoon outside. Earlier just after lunch, my daughter was hiking through snow drifts at 1800mtrs asl (5,900ft) approximately in glorious sunshine. In the meantime I was having a cup of tea watching England v Sri Lanka - grand.

Had it happen in a 2 week old Freelander 2. Vomit on the rear seat, floor, back of front passenger seat. Took me a water/shampoo Vax, bi carbonate of soda and several hours to get clean. Even then it had traces. Best thing is to strip the plastic trim off etc.

You really think your world has fallen apart. Thats said, Tomato soup! Crying or Very sad It stains all known substances, materials and other things known to man and a few not known to man, like Krytonite, a Black Hole. You'll never get the stain off. More chance of Beckham getting his tattoos removed without trace.

Athelstan, how do you do it? My wife calls me lazy when I spend 12 hours gardening! My Sciatica this week was the result of over 8 hours attacking 8 tree roots with a pick, sledge hammer, axe etc by myself. I got them out that said and have now been to the Doctors twice for the pain. I get no sympathy from the wife, kids or the GP. It's a case of 'oh dear me how sad' and then they ignore me. Situation normal! I've been doing the odd bit today and I've been called lazy at least a dozen times. Abject pain and I am told, 'get over it!' If I died, I'd get kicked to make sure I wasn't kidding, then burned on a compost heap. (Although I quite fancy an Air Funeral.) Anyway, it's another day, another dollar type of attitude. Hey, fancy a wife swap for the summer hols?

1: Getting "time-out" is easy to do when her Laydship is on night duty as is the case until next Tuesday am. A bit of forward planning, chat up mother of daughter's friend and suggest that the 3 of them can hike up the mountain to the hut (approx 2k mtrs) for a couple of nights as per Wednesday n Thursday night and I've those days to myself whilst her Ladyship sleeps deeply after a night shift saving lives. Simple. At all other times however getting 5mins to oneself is like trying to read a Doctor's handwriting - her's - impossible.

2: Sorry, cann't swap "wives" as I haven't got one - just a sinner me. Better the devil you know Dunroof and not the one I know Wink
