MK have mostly normal sized roundabouts, not so bad for tyres, Swindon is full of mostly Mini Roundabouts not so good for the near side front. |

Don't get me started on mini round-abouts in Swindon! I had a very bad experience with a vectra! (I killed it with my defender) |

Funny roads in Swansea or Scotland, straight roads, mini roundabouts and they only have exits straight in front of you no exits to the left or right, pointless having them in the road then ![]() |

The mini roundabout means "give way to traffic coming from the right" (and preferably slow down a bit too). No need to go round them. Bit worried about adopting a French idea though: Priorité ŕ droit!!! |

Yep ... would be less troublesome though if we were to adopt "Priorité ŕ gauche!" Anyway, what ever happened to give way to traffic on the roundabout rather than the idiots who approach it at 70 miles an hour and expect you to give way to them when they still have 80 yards to go to even get on the damn things! That really irks me! Freelander 1 TD4 HSE - gone, 2 weeks after the Cat.Converter! Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto MY08 - Santorini black |

The only answer to said idiots is to drive something large and solid, alas. Having right of way doesn't compensate for a dead passenger and, worse, a damaged Landy!

As this now seems to be a mini roundabout thread my hijack attempt would be that as far as I know it is actually a serious motoring offence to drive over a mini roundabout, which whilst usually the only way around one is actually illegal. Sure it was a traffic cop that told me but it was some years ago SD4 Sport LE Firenze Red - no options or modifications yet, but it's early days. |

Interesting - my assumption was based on driving large vehicles/trailers which won't go round them. But I was wrong. Highway code man he say:
