We took ages deciding one the colours and spec of our FL2 HSE - but after almost one year we still think we got it right - Santorini black and almond.

Go for Green, it will look very nice with the light leather which will make it look more upmarket than dull black. Would have preferred a light interior to the black we went for. Have seen a couple of green FL2s and they looked very smart. |

Just got in from having another look at Jaguar Lunar Grey/Land Rover Orkney Grey. In the end we changed our order to Orkney Grey with Ebony leather - Mrs GeorgeG decided she didn't like the Almond and felt Ebony (black) was much more practical with our two spaniels and living in the country. We thought Galway Green was too dark to go with the Ebony interior, whereas the Orkney Grey, which is very slightly lighter than Stornoway, provides a nice contrast. We also felt the redesigned leather seats in Ebony (now much like Discovery seats) are quite attractive with what looks like better quality leather and contrasting grey stitching. So we worked it out by a process of elimination. I can't believe I have ordered yet another silver/grey car with black leather! Probably a failure of imagination. However, the dealer said it was a cast iron choice from the point of view of resale. I will post some pics when she arrives in mid July. |

A consideration, but I wouldn't buy a new car in a particular colour/interior thinking of it's resale in a few years. A lot can happen, but besides, you should pick something you like. |

Colour choice inside and out should always be your own choice and not swayed by the opinion of others, resale values, trend etc.

Don't get me wrong, we didn't choose the colour combination for resale reasons - it was just a lucky coincidence that the dealer advised after we had chosen that it was a good choice from this point of view. We both genuinely like Orkney Grey and prefer it to Stornoway, being less 'brown', and almost a dark silver. I agree with other posters that a contrast between exterior and interior is preferable, and of course black is eminently practical inside. Also, I think it's my ninth car on the trot with a black interior - stick to what you know. I may have been looking for a chang for changes sake. |
