2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Zermatt Silver
Yeti....

We had a ride over to my sister's last night to have a look at her new car.

A Skoda Yeti 2.0 170bhp Elegance....

The car looks quite nice from some angles and not from others !!!
The dash is a bit....can I say bland ?? but over all build quality is excellent,
it's very well made from what looks like quality bits.

All that for £22 grand, I don't think thats bad.

Would I have one over a Freelander, without a dout NO.

Is it a 4x4 one?? I am a big fan of the yeti! Would not buy one but very cool, also you can land a helicopter on the roof!

I quite like them too. At least your sister has gone for the 4x4 Thumbs Up , whereas my mate bought the 1.2 petrol 2WD. What's the point in that Shocked Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Zermatt Silver

The ambulance service I work for is getting them as response cars. Cheaper to run and better service deals then the freelander. Not sure how they will look bright yellow. Sad I will have to drive one 12 hrs a day. 2007 TD4 S Zermat Silver, maual, panoramic sunroof, rear headrest entertainment system, towbar for trailer.

Only when Jeremy Clarkson is driving Whistle

Would have been more impressed if it had been a chinook they had used Thumbs Up

I imagine most cars could have taken that helicopter landing on it as they have to withstand an element of downward force for safety. 2002 Honda VFR800

yes I would imagine the build quality would be very good and an excellent package for the money.

but doesn't have the status/snob value of a Landrover................may not bother a lot of prospective purchasers ??

It ticks all the boxes until I look at it from the front, the Skoda grill/front has never been that attractive.

Suppose I still think of Skoda as being from 30 years ago. No doubt they have improved. Certainly not a car you'd have a permagrin with. More like a car you'd only take out in the dark and hide it when parking.

United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Santorini Black

I test drove one earlier in the year & I was very impressed with it. It went like a rocket & when the salesman said it was only a 1.2 Litre I was amazed. I was looking then as at that time I was still very disallugeoned with my car & was considering a black 170BHP Yeti but the Dealer failed to be able to get a value for mine nor did they make much effort to contact me either.
Would I have bought one? Possibly not as the Yeti has very limited trim options & the FL2 has more presence & Street Cred I guess but the Yeti is pretty good value all round. The name though is a bit naff as is the "Scout" version of the Octavia 4x4 Estate. But then their is also the Roomster - this vehicle had the chance of looking very good but what did they do to the side? & of course the name Big Cry (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
