Body Kit

was down at Stirling this weekend. So I thought I'll pop in to Morrison and have a look at the FL2 with the body kit.

1st

the shadow chrome alloy wheels (anthracite) look amazing I want them think they would look the business on my Tango FL2. but at just over £2000 h'mm that's a lot of money.

2nd. the exhaust trim I want one. but you can only get with the body kit.

So I'm going to see what I can do with that one. I mean what if you had one fitted and it got damaged you need to replace it.

3rd The spoiler looks good think it is bonded. Would have that but again not available on it's own at present.

4th. The body kit now it is either down to the dealer or the kit itself but very very poor fit and the gaps it was awful

but I liked the grill.

finally saw one with just the side steps fitted was really wanting these

nice and sturdy but the alloy look trim going round the outside edge of the step again is poor quality it was already looking like it was coming away from the rubber.

Think the poor sales guy thought he had a sale with us. Embarassed Embarassed Fiona

Fi, I have seen some pictures of an HSE in Stornoway with the body kit and it too looked pretty poorly fitted in places. For these launch cars I suspect they were factory fitted by the SVE unit. While the overall effect looks good when you look closer it isn't so well executed. I like the car with the full body kit but not sure about the mouldings on the doors. I'm sure that the one that I saw in Taggarts in Glasgow last week had twin exhausts whereas this TD4 has only one pipe.....................
Love the rear end and the front looks like a RRS HST (with similar dubious quality of fitting of the parts!). June 2007 would be my next scheduled car change and I as my Defender needs big money spent on it next year I was going to make the RRS last another year until 2008. It will be interesting to see if LR bring out an HST version in the next 18 months!

I was told at the ascot launch event by one of the designers that you definitely could get the spoiler by itself because I was interested in having one.
