Off roading poll

Ok guys, we all know that the FL2 beats the sh Censored out of the opposition for off roading abilities. The question is, how many of us actually utilise these abilities and actually do some off roading?

I have done a few tracks in Derbyshire, most recently near Chatsworth.

So lets see how this poll turns out... LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey

Scotland 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Fuji White

Current SD is my 3rd FL2 Auto all GS.
As MSA Scrutineer for Scottish Cross Country Championship and Scrutineer at some rounds of Scottish Rally Championship I do quite a lot of miles on Forrest Roads.
I also drive timekeeper at some forrest events usually 50-60 forrest miles trying to stay 1 hour ahead.
Last December using new SD was brilliant fun 70 miles of forrest 100% snow, OK I was on fresh snow but had better times than some of the small 2wd cars running at the end.
To come this year, 5 off road Comp Safaris as scrutineer where we have Bowlers and Tomcats.
2 driving timekeeper for full 50+ miles of forrest rally.
1 as closing car for the Colin McRae Stages following last car through full course.

A point to remember, when using some terrain response settings GGS the throttle response is reduced and if wearing outdoor footwear you can be too gentle with throttle resulting in drift out of corner due to lack of power. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

Wales 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Bali Blue

I have taken it off road a few times and its in constant use in snowy weather running around for the family. Does spend a lot of its life on the tarmac, but would love to do more off roading though,

I wonder who has voted for 'no and I never intend to'?

Shame not to use the FL2's abilities. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I'm one of those Confused
I've had a Disco 1, Disco 2, Freelander 1 and now Freelander 2.

The last 3 were all put through their paces in the dirty stuff, but my FL2 is nice and clean and I want to keep it that way.
Hoping to get my hands on a Lightweight next year though as a plaything Whistle

Cheers

Darren

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Rimini Red

I would not do serious stuff, too new and shiny and on road tyres. But have done a green lane a few times (once a bit scary as deep muddy ruts) I fly fish and can go on farm tracks/fields to access rivers with a lot more confidence than in the past. Then there is our recent snow and ice, even in London....... Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

I never intend to. I bought mine to get to work in the winter and to tow a caravan. Last winter I never missed a day and also managed to pick up all my staff and get them in to work. if I had missed 10 to 15 days due to snow it would have cost me half the cost of a new freelander so well worth buying one. if I wanted an off road toy I would buy an old series 2 SWB.
