Sponsored walk preceded by some off roading

Went to Chatsworth today and did a 5 mile walk up hill and down dale for Epilepsy Action (£250 was raised) (I suffer from Epilepsy but I have not had a seizure for 3 years touch wood, hence I can drive)

Anyway, before we all met up I went up some tracks in the FL2 that I can highly recommend. The first was back lane in Darley Moor. The other is not a named road but if you look at a Google map of Chatsworth you will see the B6012 and just past Beeley but before the road reaches the small bridge, there is a right hand turn which goes past a farm. Once beyond there I spotted a small sign post which showed a picture of a Defender and 5mph max.

The street view cam has gone so far up it but beyond that point it gets seriously rocky and quite badly rutted. To be honest I think that I pushed the FL2 to its limits in respect of ground clearance. I drove carefully and just once I did hear a scrape on the bottom of the car. Nothing drastic though.

Excellent scenery and worth a look at the tracks if you are in the area Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Cheers mate. It was a tough walk not because of the distance but the hills and the really steep and slippery steps upto the hunting tower.

As for the off roading, if anyone is up that way its worth a look. Check out the routes I mentioned on google maps/earth. I enjoyed testing the FL2 out in the area where it is light years ahead of the opposition Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
