Out of interest how heavy a caravan can you tow with an auto FL2 using the LR detachable tow bar? How much is the LR tow bar?

Local company rents new ones out at quite a reasonable rate, used to caravan with my parents as a kid and enjoyed it. Time to persuade my wife, there is a lot more to holidays than the hotel pool!!! 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto

towbars are rated to 2000kg max limit of the FL2, normally a caravan weight is 1300kg to 1900kg

some of the hire caravan are basic models, but basic spec can still have what you need to get by

obviously there is the holidaycottage.com websites as our friendly chicken farmer keeps going on about, but these weigh too much for the FL2 to tow Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Totally agree! I was looking for a Rimini Red and the rip-off-merchant told me not many people order Red. His explanation was that the brouchure colour doesn't look anything like the real colour, but when they come in on part x they are gone next day! Shame they have dropped it cos the new red is cra Censored but without wishing to start the usual arguements so are White, Black, Manuals and Caravans

I assume you meant that non white vehicles fetch a better resale value?

conversely, I would imagine that when it becomes known that used white cars aren't immediately thought of as worn out ex-police hacks, with ruined interiors and butchered wiring looms, then it can only help the reputation and value of used white cars! Rolling Eyes

The reason (Ex-cop) white cars had a low second hand resale value was because everyone knew they were ex police and the market was flooded with them. Same with Vans, coloured ones are worth a few hundred quid than white ones and RED ones that are clearly ex royal mail have a lower value still, BT stopped painting their vans Yellow and then Grey, and they are worth more now they are white.

White cars are not a fad Shocked and in warmer countries like Norway Whistle very usefull to have in the burning sun as they dont get as hot as dark colours Thumbs Up

With global warming everybody will want a white car in the future, so if you buy now and sell in 3-4 years time there when temperaturs are higher than now, you will get a higher price and when nobody will want black cars except for frying their eggs on the bonnet Thumbs Up
However if white is too bright, silver or light grey will be the second and third most sort after colours Cool 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

Looks like CG has flat lined.

Oh well...!

Most of you would appreciate white cars in Oz due to the excessive heat.
