Oil Level 'Dip Stick'

Is it me or is the twisted dip stick an absolute pain to read off???

I clean it, push it back in, only to pull it out to find oil in several places.

I've had other cars over the years that are far, far easier to read.

....or is it just mine???

best way is to let all the oil out into a measure jug then read the jug and replace At work

I dont have a problem reading it. That said, I give it a quarter rotational twist, anticlockwise on extraction.

Remember to put it back the reverse of extraction, making sure the oil symbol is straight on to you. Bit OCD, but it works for me.

Leave the car overnight then check it.
