Freezing Conditions Warning

My wife was driving our FL the other evening when the Chimes sounded - the temperature shown on the Main Message Centre had gone from 5C to 4C and a snowflake icon appeared.

A little later the temperature went up to 5C and the snowflake icon disappeared.

The temperature dropped again to 4C and the Chimes sounded again and a snowflake icon came back.

A nice safety feature - but yet another thing not mentioned in my handbook nor on the update version on the LR owners website.

I wonder what other features the Freelander has that I don't yet know about?

mines been doing the same today

I always remember once in a old car and the wife was driving me home from the pub, when the dashboard beeped and the snow icon came up, in my drunken state, i told her to be carefull as it was going to start snowing. 10 minutes further down the road, it started to SNOW........ "OOoo thats cleaver, how did it know that" said the wife, " I responded "The car must have been listening to the weather forcast on the radio" It was months before i told her it meant it was cold and ice symbol was just that, a warning of possible ice Rolling with laughter Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
