Give Team Valley a ring up in Gateshead, you will get a good price and you could book it in for a Saturday morning. Take all the family with you drop off the car at TVLR and the chaps will give and the family a lift to the Metro Centre, Mrs P could spend all the money you have saved in the shops and the kids (and possibly you) could have a great time in the amusement park, get picked up at the end of the day all done, happy and content, Mrs with new cloths / shoes kids falling asleep and you happy with all the money you could have saved.

2nd service completed by Stratstone's of Cheltenham - they price matched an Indy (Tim Fry) and I got the job done including courtesy car for £270.40. They also valeted my car and made a reasonable job. All in all well pleased and have LR dealer stamps in the book.

Follow up call this morning hoping that I was pleased with everything so to Stratstone's of Cheltenham.

Surprised that the courtesy car was a Ford Mondeo  MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

The last 3 are leeds indies but all (as their names suggest) are LR specialists employing LR trained techs. To be honest if anyone quoted any less I'd be getting nervous!

Stratstone Swansea - £400
Stratstone Cardiff - £320
Land Rover Brecon - Didn't bother getting back to me after a few chases
Land Rover Carmarthen - Didn't bother getting back to me with a quote after a few calls
Lewis 4x4 Neath - Didn't bother getting back to me
Swansea Vale 4x4 - £280 (they did my 1st service and was happy, so going back there again)

I paid £341.65 in July at Matford Exeter so I'd go with Strastone Cardiff.

Just had a quote from Stratstone Newcastle for second service - £497!!! Used them last year and their customer service is shocking! Phoned Team Valley Land Rover and their price is £318 including VAT and free courtesy car!
Even though stratstone price match locally their customer service experience from last time puts me off!!

I have only had good experiences with Team Valley , really helpful chaps and worth the 70 mile round trip, Sratsones could learn a thing two from them when it come to customer service.

Just paid £492.43 at Barretts in Ashford (Kent). No loan car (one offered but didn't need it). Bill says 'free wash and vacuum'. Wasn't done, car was quite clean when I took it in, but the flies on the front were still there when I collected it.

Another niggle, this doesn't necessarily apply only to LR, but why are the heating/ac controls always either turned to ice cold and either the fan turned off or switched to max. I accept that they may need to switch the CC off or change it to check that it's working, but why not put it back to the customer's setting when finished?
