I know one nutter who converted his auto MX5 into a manual, loads of work but it could be done, although the fancy electronics on the FL2 will make it a lot more difficult methinks. Surely much cheaper just to trade it for a different model?

Mav71, a mate converted his old Range Rover Classic from manual to auto
a few years ago with no problems at all, but he had a big problem with insurance.

All the insurance data had that vehicle reg number as a manual and
not an auto.

He was telling me just this morning what a massive problem that turned out to be.

It may work out cheaper than trading up but this mod is Dead Money you've managed 3 years with a manual why do you need an auto Now?

Might be easier to buy an Auto and swap all your bits over on to that? then sell the manual

Had a reply back from LR themselves. Like everything it is possible but at a cost. But it;s the factory programming that is not easy to change.
