keyfob unlock has starting popping the boot open aswell..

Exactly what it says on the tin... FL2 S 2007 driving me nuts, having to shut the boot everytime I unlock the car!!

Any thoughts or experiences?

England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Tonga Green

This is normally the previously identified issue with the boot door switch (the bit you press under the handle).

The two options are:

1) take apart the boot handle and clean the microswitch
2) take apart the boot handle and replace the microswitch with a new switch (ebay have them)

I had the same issue - I locked the car and repeated pressed the button under the handle (which is a microswitch behind the rubber) many times and mine seems to be ok now. 2002 Honda VFR800

Rather an ST service bulletin Whistle

I just thought rather than taking the whole rear door to bits I would try and see if some subtle persuasion would clean the microswitch even to a small amount - seems to have worked (for now) but I imagine I will have to strip the door handle to do a proper clean at some point. 2002 Honda VFR800
