Maybe a Pied Wagtail, Robin or even a Wren, but unless your parked for a very long time a House Sparrow would prefer other house building localities. Not caused by the wife doing a bit of green laneing while your at work 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

the bird obviously walked up to your car whilst you were towing your van and hopped on, deciding it was a relatively stationary place to build a nest At work

Once had mice nesting in the driver's seat of a friend's Rover 90. Mind you given the state of the bodywork, they had probably chosen the safest place. |

birds often nested in a tractor of mine just in front of the radiator. I left them be and theeggs hatched and the babies grew up....despite the tractors frequent use spraying so called 'deadly' pesticides on my crops.
