Aircon on ??? - seams about right to me, unlike some of these hypermilers who get 45+ mpg Aircon off with sunroof tilted on a similar journey I reckon i get about an extra 4 / 5 mpg Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints |

40mpg on a run down to Cheshire Oaks and back (120 miles or so) at a steady 65 ish on cruise control. I did it mainly as a test to see what it would do, plus it's a bit more relaxing just pootling along. Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!

Went down to Newmarket last Friday, fully laden with four people and full tank of diesel average MPG on the way down 45.6 on the way on back same day up minus two people and just over a half a tank average MPG 38.5, would have thought it would have been more that the trip down but as Mrs Toeknee suggested it’s because we are going uphill all the way back oop North |

Ah, female logic. Can't beat it. Could it have been that you were rushing a bit to get back to friendly territory? Poke it, Poke it, make it do it again!!
