Hi guys,
Been having issues with my Freelander for the past 6-8 weeks, (well since I got it actually but lets move on to the current issue).
It's a 59 Plate Auto. Around 8 weeks ago, I noticed a slight hesitation when accelerating, ok to around 2k revs & then nothing. It eventually pulls past but is properly slow, sort of like limp mode slow. Garage had it back in & the throttle body was knackered, which we replaced & it seemed to be better. Also noted a quieter shut down so clearly that has been broken since purchase a year ago. Only for the issue to return, back to the garage & we then replace the MAF sensor, which sorted it for about 2 weeks. The weird thing is, it is intermittent & shows no EML on dash or codes when plugged in?
We then went on holiday in which the car broke down whilst towing, showing the "Reduced Engine Performance" message on the dash. This showed as "Turbo Overboost". This was turned off as garage stated that numerous things could be causing that code & we could replace every thing before finding the issue resulting in ££££ bills. Weirdly neither me or the garage can now get the car to reproduce that fault code yet I am still having the same issue with the hesitation.
Yesterday it drove fine for the best part of an hour through the Peak District & just before home I start getting the hesitation again!
Any ideas guys? I am really fed up of it now
Cheers
