Midline sound system to Premium

Hello guys,

I have upgraded midline sound system to premium system to my 2007 HSE while ago and decided to let people know about it. I'm surprised what a difference is between those sound systems with extra 5 speakers and 14 in total.

Midline HSE 2007 Freelander was already with prepared wiring loom both for midline and high line sound systems so didn't do any wiring job at all.

Required parts:
front center dash speaker LR001695
front side dash speakers LR001694 x2
RH E pillar panel incl speaker LR001845
LH E pillar panel incl speaker LR001846
Front dash speakers screws 3 for each speaker LR007312 so x9 in total
Front dash speakers nuts LR006214 x9

Premium line amplifier better get used one than buy new for big price

Actually it was pretty easy to do it, the most wanted part was Premium line sound system amplifier which I already had Smile other parts bought brand new from LR.

I had to edit CCF and download to the car to make system work.

Yes all the wiring connectors are there for all the speakers & a spare connector for the Dolby amp I connected everything up but only the clock would work on radio nothing else

Hay that's ace then I guess its easyer for lr to fit all wiring and leave out the speakers?

Say you just wanted to fit the rear speakers can you just get some and plug them in for them to work? Or do you have to get all the other bits too then code it? I would love the rear ones like in your picture and would try todo so if it was a case of just plugging them in Question

Cheers again

Hi ya Offshore no that wouldn't work just plugging speakers in you would need the surround amp as the 2 rear speakers are surround speakers they do look cool & only cost about £37 for each E pillar complete with speaker Thumbs Up

I am interested in this project too. I want to clarify, for the mid line system, there is no Amp included? even with the sub woofer? or Do I need to change the amp to the surround amp?

Cheers. Freelander 2 XS MY 2012, 19" rims, Barolo Black. Privacy glass, spoiler.

Great Job Thumbs Up

I've always wanted to upgrade my midline audio to premium Thumbs Up

I have a 2012 HSE with subwoofer and 9 speakers but have no 6 CD charger but only one CD.

The Premium amplifier is very expensive ... Shocked almost 800£

I'm glad to hear the wiring is already there Thumbs Up

I understand that the E pillars speakers needs the premium amplifier to work. but what about the 3 dashboard speakers ? will they work or they will require the premium amplifier as well to work.

Thx
