Fitting Sat Nav

Hi,

I have managed to get hold of a genuine FL2 sat nav, can anybody give me instructions on how to fit it?

Thanks

i'd be interested to here how you get on,

did you buy a screen and the cd player?

Are all the cables installed already behind the centre console?

I'd be very interested too in this too, as my dealer and Land Rover customer service said that if I added Sat Nav my LR2 and tried to "integrate" it into the existing audio, then I would void my warranty. LOL. yeah right!

Please do keep us posted on what comes of this. It would be very helpful to know.

I have contacted my landrover dealer and they said that I will need the dvd drive and cables fitted, all of which will cost a fortune close to what it would cost you to order it as a factory option. They recommended it would be cheaper to have an after market sat nav/dvd fitted (Clarion) even this option would cost £800. So with this I'm not going to bother, save some money and buy a Garmin nuvi 660 instead!

So if you want a factory fit sat nav I would recommend you buy the FL2 SE or HSE and get the other extras as well.

Anyone want to buy a sat nav screen "LOL"

Cypress,

I also got hold of a FL2 alpine sat nav screen.

I would like to interphase a garmin/kenwood gps but don't hold out much hope after reading this post.
