Got a problem with the sat nav, radio and parking sensors. The sat nav screen will not load up the navigation screen, it just keeps flashing the Land Rover logo then flicking off blank and back on again. Does this every couple of seconds but intermittently. This means that the radio does not work either, as it appears to need the sat nav running properly to function. Parking sensors not working unless the sat nav is working is equally wierd. Occasionally (twice after starting in the last 300 town miles) the whole thing worked properly for a couple of minutes, then the radio coughs a couple of times and the whole thing shuts down. Need the sat nav running prpoerly to get the DVD out. No radio means that I can hear another grumbling bearing getting louder, having just had the propshaft and bearing replaced (£550). I now know that I bought the wrong car.

I seam to recall someone talking about a gray block connector at the bottom of the dash which could be easily disturbed by a passenger who is stretching their legs... I would be rummaging around under the dash checking all the connectors and making sure they are all connected properly Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints |

Thanks. I will spend the weekend doing an in depth rumage and waggle. As an aside, a cursory glance discovered the passenger footwell light had melted its surround and was dangling freely. 2007 TD4 SE Manual Santrini Black |

Went to have a rumage in the footwell but couldn't open the double locked car on the remote because the car battery was flat!! However, the tailgate opened so I got in that way. Next day, with charged battery, I was grovelling in the footwell when I realised that the sat nav DVD player was struggling to read the DVD. After numerouss unsucessful attempts I eventually managed to creep up on it when it thought I was in the house and ejected the DVD. Immediately, the stereo started registering the CD's and the parking sensors came on (car left in reverse....crap handbrake). A drive proved that it all works properly. Sometimes............ I despair. 2007 TD4 SE Manual Santrini Black |

Knew it was too good to be true. Back to intermittent operation but now a new wobbly. When it finally deigns to work the radio only comes out of the RH speaker. 2007 TD4 SE Manual Santrini Black |

Took the two luggage tie down loops off the rear RH side panel and removed the carrier bag holder. Levered and grumbled and groaned but very little moved. Tried going in through the rear light unit, but that failed as well. Could not move the lower tailgate door opening cover which was holding the side panel in place. Then ran out of courage. Decided that the potential nightmare of plastic trim fastners pinging all over the place or, worse still, breaking was too much to bear. Put it all back together again. 2007 TD4 SE Manual Santrini Black |
