2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey
For Sale Dec 2007 57 Land Rover FL2 GS 23,000 miles Scotland

My wife and I leaving for australia in a couple of months and unfortunately we have to sell our Freelander. We bought it last December from Shields Land Rover in Glasgow for 19K with only 13000 miles on the clock. It is a Land Rover Approved Used vehicle and is near mint.

The Australian government do not allow personal importation of any vehicle you have not owned for a minimum of 12 months and unfortunately we will fall short by 6 weeks or so having bought it around 22/12/2010. There is no way round it, eg leaving the car in the UK and sending it later, they require all your passport pages to be copied to them to prove you were resident for the full 12 months. We are taking our other car, a MINI, because car prices in Oz are massively inflated.

I have listed it on autotrader (link below) for what I hope is a competitive price, although I am open to offers if anyone begs to differ on my valuation.

Cheers,

Marc

Fortunately we have owned our Mini Cooper S from new in Sep 2008 so we can import it, albeit with a load of taxes and duties , but if you consider a 3 year old one in Oz would cost $AU35K (20 grand at current exchange) it still makes sense!

Really really wish we could take the FL2, we even looked at my wife staying in UK till we had owned it for 12 months but its registered in my name, the MINI is hers, so they rejected that plan as well.

Hi,

Is the car still for sale and if so how much is it.

Thanks in advance.

A n d r e w Looking to buy a Freelander 2 with a decent spec and not too many miles at a good price. Send me a message if you have one.

Currently drive a high spec Rover 75 which is gorgeous but not big enough.
