Removing Surround for Radio/Sat Nav and finding power

As promised when I recently joined. I said I would publish my experiences with dash removal to fit a Nokia phone kit. Also to look at the possibility of fitting sat nav where the cubby hole is.
Removal of the dash plastic bits is fairly easy and can be done in a couple of mins, if you follow some of the handy tips on this forum.
I fitted a Nokia CK-7W without too many dramas.
After hunting for power on the existing cables, I found a permanent live going to the radio (brown/red) and a ground cable (black/yellow) also found an ign. live (rare in these days of the 'data bus') on the heater control just below the radio (white/orange).
For anyone thinking of using these, I have to emphasize I have not confirmed these cables by reference to a manual, but it seems to work OK and has for about a week now.
Radio and heater screw out and disconnect easily when surround removed.

Here is radio etc with surround removed.

Hope this helps someone out along the way. still not made my mind up about which sat nav to fit, would like to get one to fit that completly replaces the cubby box so it looks like a factory fit, but it is a difficult size to obtain. I calculate it would need to be approx 165mm x 100mm to sit behind. Anyone tried to do this?

Peter.
