Wales 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver

May I just remind you non-caravanners that the maximum speed limit on ordinary 2 lane roads for a caravan is 50mph and only 60mph on dual carriageways and motorways? I find this too slow when towing my caravan but this is the law.

Hear, hear! All the more reason for not having one....

And of course let's not forget the Highway Code also states:

"Do not hold up a long queue of traffic, especially if you are driving a large or slow moving vehicle. Check your mirrors frequently, and if necessary, pull in where it is safe and let traffic pass."

Whistle

She's like a Queen Bee, sitting there majestically whilst all the worker drones busy themselves around her.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

Still towing the van despite parting with FL2 back in July.

Yesterday towed the van for the first time with the new tug (Volvo V70 2.0D), fine on the road, the V70 is close to the same weight as the FL2. However one feature I missed was the elevated driving position. Our van has windows front and back which allowed a view through the van from the rear view mirror when towing with FL2. Obviously not possible in a V70 where one's @rse is much closer to the ground, now all I see in the rear view mirror is the white front panel and the word Fleetwood written backwards. Laughing

I expect the first time I encounter a seriously muddy field I'll miss the terrain response Big Cry Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!
