I fitted a pair of Halfords Extreme H11 bulbs this morning and having just tired them I have to agree with Tigger that they do make a noticeble difference when compared to the factory fit bulbs. The only problem now is the side lights look yellow compared to the dipped beam. Can anyone recommend some replacement side light bulbs that produce a whiter light output. |

Mark, you can get W5W sidelight lamps with a blue coating, these are the same colour as the new hi pwer halogens. Don't let the blue colour put you off when they are lit they appear white.

Interesting Tigger, either your perception of brightness is different to mine or my choice of 'Osrams' were incorrect as I never noticed that big of improvement.

I chose the bulbs as a result of this test, which includes your Osrams, you may find the results interesting: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/prod..._cent.html |

Go on the auction website and type in W5W or W5W LED. Std bulbs start at £0.99p delivered so your not going to get ripped off . If you go for LED you need the canbus type so just type in that word with the bulb |

Took mine in for service today and had a loaner with the pre facelift standard Halogen lamps. Drove back to the dealer in the dark and even the pre-facelift headlamps (which are usually reported to be better) are completely hopeless with the standard bulbs!
