Front Right Side Wheel Arch Cover Removal

As per the title, I am about to (when it is a warmer day) remove the front right side wheel black plastic covers - i.e battery side of the FL2. Before I embark on this task has anyone any experience of doing this and can offer me any advice, tips or tricks so that I don't make a total hash of the job.
