Andy, I would change it anyway. You would be amazed how crapppy they get. But the bomb should sort it out. It did on mine. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

Hey Andy - let me know how you get on with your bomb - mine too smelt a bit like a wet dog, I changed the filter (a bit of a fiddle but easy really) but never thought to get a cleaner!!!

'Apparently' the puratize ones are not water vapour which the very cheap versions tend to be, the water vapour ones leave all the headlining etc damp for a while.

Bombed it this afternoon - had to check the manual how to put it onto permanent recirculate just a quick press only keeps it this way for four minutes . Anyway, the car now smells like a cross between a Fabreeze airfreshener and flyspray But no niffy smells anymore

hope your agile and bendy??? I ended up leaning into the passenger footwell lying across the passenger seat upside down as I couldn't get to the pollen filter location any other way. As once the glove box is removed the filter cover is still masked by the metalwork and cables hidden behind the glove box area. The plus point I found the fusebox - which I will need if I eventually go the retrofit SatNAV. 2002 Honda VFR800 2002 Toyota Celica 140 Silver (mid life crisis - again!) 2007 FL2 GS Manual Army Reconnaissance Green + freel2.com sticker 2004 Toyota Celica 140 Black - Gone 2000 Toyota Celica 140 Silver - Gone 1998 Toyota Celica ST Pearl Green - Gone 1996 Nissan Primera 1.6 - Gone 1994 Rover Montego 1.6 Auto - Gone |

Occasionally Aldi or Lidl do an aircon cleaner for a few pounds. I used one in my last car and it seemed to work ok. It got rid of the wet dog smell at least.
