Retro fit Xenons

Hi All

I bought a FL2 in March having had RRS's for the last few years. I have the HSE with premium pack. One thing I miss is the Xenon lights. I know they are a factory build option, but I bought a dealer stock car specced with standard lamps. Is it possible to retro fit xenons? Dealer (well the salesman) not that sure.

Thoughts welcome.

Andy

PS The SD4 is a pretty impressive unit. I downsized as the RRS wasn't being used (16K miles in 2 years) so I went for something close in spec but cheaper to run and without the huge depreciation hit. Great engine, pulls well but not as smooth as the TDV6

Your best bet is to do a search on here as it has been mentiond on here a few times, from memory I think the auto leve;ing presents a problem though, pretty sure Stonerow did it but no leveling.

if you retro fit xenon's now if they don't have the levelling device working it will fail its MOT. This issue has been raised within VOSA and understand retro fit lamps along with diesel tunning kits are being added to the MOT test for inspection etc in the very near future.
It would make sense as I have noticed the price of tunning kits has fallen dramatically recently.

cant see why diesel tuning kits would fall re the mot, just remove then refit after the test.

sparky bazz
Its related to the emissions. For those that can remove will be fine but those that are mapped may have problems .
there is a very long splurge on the ins and outs on another forum.

ford recently sold a warm fiesta, you bought it as a cooking one and paid tax on its cooking emmisions, then the dealer fitted a few stripes a spoiler and a remap and sold it as a warm one, for a while it was the only 'fast' fiesta and it was all legal and above board At work
